DESIGN PARTNERSHIP

MountainTrue is a valued client that I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with on a variety of impactful projects. I truly admire their mission to protect and preserve Western North Carolina's natural spaces, making this work especially rewarding.

My first project with MountainTrue was creating a commemorative design for their 40th anniversary. I updated their logo to include '40 Years' and illustrated a patch featuring a canoeist navigating the French Broad River, symbolizing adventure, river health, and ecosystem vitality. BETTER WITH BONDS CAMPAIGN

I developed the branding for MountainTrue's 'Better with Bonds' campaign, which successfully advocated for two major bond initiatives in Buncombe County, NC: conservation of farmland and natural spaces, and support for affordable housing. The project involved creating a logo, color palette, yard sign, mailer, and palm card, blending Art Deco design elements with nature-inspired visuals to connect urban planning with the outdoors. The campaign won by a landslide, and even spawned a parody sign from the opposition—something I’m proud of as a testament to the campaign’s reach and impact.

STATE OF OUR RIVERS ANNUAL REPORT

I designed detailed maps and infographics to visualize water quality scores at testing sites along regional rivers. After sorting through extensive datasets, I crafted clear, user-friendly visuals, including charts summarizing site-specific scores. This work pushed my skills into new territory, especially in map design, where I successfully integrated MountainTrue’s established branding for a cohesive, informative presentation.
